Amber is a second year Masters of Social Work student at University of North Dakota, completing her final student internship. She is a distance student, and has enjoyed being part of a unique program and online community while pursuing her degree. She graduated from Georgetown University with her Bachelors of Psychology. Amber's professional experience includes working with children at-risk of abuse and neglect, as well as military members and their families. Amber believes a strength-based approach allows clients to feel empowered and positive, and that with commitment, therapy can provide the tools they need to make positive changes in their lives. She is interested in pursuing a career as a Navy social worker in the future. She is a Marine Corps spouse, married to Staff Sergeant Matthew Norville. When not at her internship, she cares for their one year old daughter. Amber enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and going on walks.
