Marc is a seasoned practitioner and has extensive experience in providing individual and group psychotherapy. His modalities of choice are Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Existential psychotherapy although he believes strongly in the tenant “let the horse lead the way”. He believes in a collaborative spirit in which the client is empowered to make cognitive and behavioral changes. He believes that many of our issues involve our belief systems and that by examining our thoughts and core beliefs we can change those beliefs that affect our ability to live a life that we want to live. Through behavioral rehearsal and becoming more aware of our thoughts we can positively affect our mood. By examining our here and now and learning to accept what we cannot change and change what we can, we can live a more satisfying life. Marc had a clinical practice at the Cognitive Therapy Center and has been the supervisory therapist at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility for the last 17 years. He is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Marc’s areas of interest and expertise are depression, anxiety disorders, and relationship issues.
